Service Description

Respite - Short Term Care - Monday to Friday - For services rendered by RPN’s (Registered Practical Nurse), Well of Life Healthcare will be paid $65.00 per hr. HST not included. (Retirement Home/Facility Care) When it comes to ‘Respite Care’ our staff are placed with an individual who is in need of temporary care due to being ill, elderly, disabled, post operation, palliative, and much more. Providing relief for their usual caregiver. This service can be provided in home, or within a facility or LTC home. Where ever the service is needed and requested by family & or recommend persons in charge. During the duration of this service the PSW/Nurse would provide personal care, assistance in feeding, promoting exercise such as going for a walk, to ROM (range of motion). This service is also to provide time for the individual to recover, giving the situation. Also, to keep them comfortable with the care being provided. Nevertheless many families take great joy in providing care to their loved ones so that they can remain at home. The physical, emotional, and financial consequences for the family caregiver can be overwhelming without some support, such as respite. Respite grants a break for the family caregiver, which may prove beneficial to their health.
