Service Description

Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care - Monday to Friday - For services rendered by RPN’s (Registered Practical Nurse), Well of Life Healthcare will be paid $65.00 per hr. HST not included. (Retirement Homes/LTC Homes) When it comes to working with an individual with Alzheimer's & or Dementia, it can be anywhere. Whether it is in Retirement Facility, LTC, or within in own home. When providing care for an individual with these specific diseases it is necessary to provide care as you would with anyone else. It is important that our PSW’s provide exceptional care geared towards all clients. However, there are few things done differently with Alzheimer's & Dementia. Our PSW’s will support in ways that make the resident happy & comfortable. Maintaining positive mental health, through activities. Going for walks, going through photo albums and talking about family/history with them, listening to their favorite music will have them feel comfortable with the surroundings of their caregiver(s) There is so many things to be able to engage in with these individuals, whilst providing the care it is also specified to that individual as everyone has different reactions and or triggers to certain things. With that being said, our team of PSW’s all have immense experience in working with elderly and onset dementia/Alzheimer’s. We want nothing but the best for all individuals cared for.
