Service Description

Long Term Care Home Support – Saturday & Sunday – For services rendered for statutory holidays by PSW’s (Personal Support Worker or Nurse), Well of Life Healthcare will be paid $52.50 per hr. HST not included. While our team of PSW’s work in various areas, LTC facilities are a place in which is very beneficial to the resident & care team. PSW’s are an important part of a residents health-care team because they know the resident(s) well and can report any physical, mental, and or behavioral changes. Being in LTC means that all PSW’s and Nurses give exponential care and undivided attention to any needs an individual may have. While doing so other services are provide such as hygiene care, feeding, simple providing companionship and being there for the resident in their time of need. Also while outside PSW’s are working within the LTC home, it is helping the healthcare team on site to be able to provide care for other residents. Nevertheless many families take great joy in providing care to their loved ones so that they can remain at home. The physical, emotional, and financial consequences for the family caregiver can be overwhelming without some support, such as respite. Respite grants a break for the family caregiver, which may prove beneficial to their health.
